It broke about a half an inch from where it connects to the throttle lever. It is a mid 80's 310-8. Can't remember exact year, would have to look. Like around an 84 I would guess.the 310-8 has its fronts held on with a cotter pin. The 310s wheels have bearings in them and the Commando's are bushed. There is a drain plug in the bottom of the transmission just to the left of the hitch. It should use a 1/4" Allen wrench to remove. Drain the oil by lifting the front end of the tractor to get all the oil over the hump in the bottom of the transmission.
