Opinion: the tac ops is an excellent value. Roughly the same MSRP but real world prices seem to be slightly lower than the x macro, plus two extra $50/each magazines, plus in a desirable configuration. It was honestly a brilliant move by Sig. Realistically, fewer people will want the comp vs the xl slide.
The P365 X-macro isn't that much smaller than the stock m18 but is definitely thinner which would help with printing. If you wanted smaller the P365X is a better option without going to a much shorter grip in the P365. Maybe an X-Macro Tacops would even the field. I will say that the X-Macro “Comp” does shoot a bit flatter for me and with just maybe a bit less perceived recoil. It certainly does seem that the X-Macro Tacops represents a great value with the extra mags. If the mag tube was a quarter inch shorter, simply swapping on a 226 baseplate would work. The lowest point of the XL frame is the same length as the Macro frame sans mag so it kinda obviates the need for the XL. I'm thinking of doing this and started some info in the PF.com 365 thread.
