The flywheel has the markings showing the degrees before and after TDC, but I do not see any mark on the flywheel showing where to point timing light. I know I need to attach timing light to the number 1 plug wire, with all plugs ... I took it to my local boat mechanic who told me that the timing was advanced to make it idle at 2000rpm. Got it fixed to as best that they could at the time.
