Check if the file has really been deleted. The first step is to check if the file is gone. If you dragged it to the Bin but haven’t emptied it recently, it should still be there. Click on the Bin icon in the Dock and inspect the Finder window that opens. If you see the file, drag it out of the Bin and onto the Desktop.
