If they started the numbering at 3001 and they shared these numbers with other Smith & Wesson handguns would this be an early 1957 gun? Any rough estimate of value would be appreciated. A Model 10-7 can't have a serial number of C359288 (the B97447 is not a serial) because that C series number is from around 1956 which is before S&W model marked their guns. Check it again to make sure you have the numbers correct or that you have a model marked gun.
