Reaction score. 140. Jan 4, 2023. #1. I have a Knight LK-93 50 cal that I bought around 1995. Came with a black stock, SS barrel and #11 nipple. I originally used Pyrodex powder with the #11 cap. When Knight came out with a 209 conversion, I got it and started using Pyrodex pellets. I use Winchester W209 primers.So I'm comparing .33¢ per round to .46¢ per round. A 13¢ difference in rounds when shooting 100grs volume. Once you consider the extra 50 rounds with BH, it then averages out to a difference of 7¢ per round (6.5). The red 209 disks are completely re-useable. They seal great, are easy to pre-load and they are not that hard to cap on/off quickly. Especially if wearing gloves in colder climates. I like the consistancy a 209 primer gives. The kit is a good investment. Just make sure where you plan on hunting allows the use of 209 primers.
