As for the term "stock" well i run a dyno service for vintage tractors and see big #s all the time on so called stock tractors.The single mark is the first one you see on the pulley while rotating the crankshaft; it indicates the limit of timing advance when the engine is running. (timing advance means the spark occurs earlier hence the mark is placed on the pully BEFORE TOP DEAD CENTER) The next set of marks are the actual TDC (top dead center) marks.

The H series didn't have a fast hitch until they morphed into the 300 models. The H is certainly heavier for pulling and the placement of the belt pully is better than on the C series.Yes the H for sure had a low low gear option, still had the 5 speeds , but a low first gear , not sure on the rest of the ratios. If the # tag is still on the tractor have a look at the suffix after the main s/n, may end in X6,X6A,X6B,X6C. Could also end in other low gear suffixes if it has any other options, eg kerosene,high altitude engine etc.
