A contagion zaw allows you to reclaim ranged attacks whilst only having a melee equipped. I find it preferable to using a glaive as they're pretty clunky on console. Your mileage may vary. Before I logged into the game I read the patch note and saw that the exodia contagion damage was changed. Went to the simulacrum and sure enough the damage doesn't even tickle the enemies now. Time to leave Warframe for a while. The last update was junk and now nerfing my main melee weapon.
