This build uses the Spawn Slayer archetype for a few reasons. Firstly, it doesn't give anything up except the ability to use Studied Target as a swift action. Secondly, it gains nice bonuses when fighting against large enemies - there are quite a lot of these in Wrath of the Righteous; some of the most powerful and dangerous demons are very big.
