The Chisos had been covered totally in thick fog for days. We’d never been there before and you couldn’t see further than 20 ft in front of you so we didn’t even attempt the lost mine trail until the 14th when it cleared up enough to actually see the mountains. My guess is she got lost in the fog and too fatigued.
