If you dont pat it before you try and get on or saddle it, it wont give you bonding experience and you wont be able to stable it. I got the silver turkoman this way after having the same problems as you guys with the gold one. I think if I wouldve done it correctly the gold turkoman wouldve worked but oh well the silver one is beautiful.
