Re: dyson dc40 brushbar not turning. Just had a DC40 in with same problem. Looks like this will be a common problem. The wire are actually being sliced or cut, unfortunately this job had to be a fast turn around, so I was unable to try and see what was cutting the wires, but it doesn't look like it is just due to flexing.Make sure the vacuum is fully charged before each use. Check for any blockages or tangled hair that might cause the motor to work harder and drain the battery faster. Cleaning the brush bar and nozzle regularly will help prevent this. According the directions I found a T10 torx should work to remove the 4 screws still holding the brush on, but I couldn’t get those off even with a T10.
