SotFS best weapons Question I’m sure this has been asked/discussed countless times but what are the best weapons on ds2 SotFS, the reason I ask is that I’m never really sure what’s different from vanilla and with patches and nerfs etc never know how up to date what I’m reading is y’know, so what’s the best weapons.
Buff with Dark Blade. Backstab Fish or Sweet Spot hits. Win. My weapons of choice for my melee hex build were Silverblack Spear for the hoi polloi, since it has a great combination of reach, speed, damage and the awesome partizan moveset. Dark infused and/or buffed it does great damage for dealing with most enemies. a selection of OP weapons: - curved dragon greatsword. - dark chaos blade or dual wielding katanas. - any good great hammer (dragon tooth, demons, smelter, etc) for pancaking 90% of enemies and massive AR. dual wielding great hammers for absolute destruction at the cost of A LOT of stamina. - mastodon halberd.Sha. 18, 1444 AH ... Alongside powerstancing, which they also scrapped for DS3 and replaced with the arbitrarily-combined paired weapons, hexes are probably one of the best innovations in DS2 - it was an asset to the gameplay. I will never have a firm understanding on their decision to disregard the progressions DS2 pushed. It was completely counterintuitive. Poison Manslayer is a very good weapon, the 150 counter damage works for the poison build up too. Sanctum Soldier Gauntlets will add an extra 60 poison to your weapon and the Rat Ring will add 50. You will still get 80% of the RoB+2 and Flynn's ring effects meaning an extra 80 AR.

It has a great damage (350 at +10 / B scaling in strength with +10) and a super moveset. Daggers have the best riposte damage in DS2. I'm not sure other than that. You can go to a higher level area, find an enemy, and practice parrying and riposting with different weapons. Fextra wiki for DS2 is pretty dang accurate if you want to check out some of the stuff on there. 1.Maybe go for like 20/20 int/fth for a bit of fire scaling and other useful spells, a bunch of attunement, and like 12 Dex for the rapier. Infuse with whatever element you want cause scaling is shit on infused physical weapons anyway. Fire weapons is a very weak buff, so it's mostly aesthetic.

It's a very viable weapon when raw infused with RoBFlynn or elemental infused with Flynn. Also, it's probably the best PvE weapon for progressing through the level as it doesn't take durability dmg.
