Traditional DVR service is more reliable, doesn't freeze up, and can pause live TV. I would give XUMO another two years before being ready for prime time. The potential is there, but it's not ready for broad distribution. If you have a regular DVR box on another TV and you approach XUMO as a Beta product, than try it out at your own risk.

This is why others and myself who have subscribed to cable for decades, encourage those to switch from Cloud DVR, (or XUMO) if they are having similar problems to switch to a regular DVR box. I apologize that they didn't advise you that the pause/rewind live TV was limited to a physical DVR. If you call in to 855-707-7328 a DVR can be added to the account and can either be mailed out to you or picked up at your local Spectrum store.

When Xumo boxes are purchased outright, they can be exchanged in a Spectrum store within the first 30 days. After the 30 days, any warranty or replacement issues would need to be handled by the Xumo site chat. We do still support the devices and handle troubleshooting, etc, but Xumo would handle the warranty issues.
