Look on Mec's website and download the manuals for the respective model you have. If it has a flat base plate and a silver sticker with the S/N then its a pre 82. If it has a slightly raised base plate and doesn't say mk.5 then its a 82-85. If it the base plate say's mk5 then it was after 85. I can't get you any closer than that.I know i can get them from Mec, but i was wondering if some of you guys might have pieces lying around that you would want to get rid off at less than new price. Does anybody now if MEC still sells the "OLD" style charge bars ( the ones WITHOUT that White rubber grommet in the top of the bar). I do not like the new ones at all! The rubber deteriorates and shot digs into the grommet and gets caught between the bar and the loader head.

They fit and work perfectly. There's no need to retrofit your reloader until/unless these become unavailable. Replacing with the Hornady fingers is a lot less work.

If you're like me, I can never find these references when I need them, and this is the old chart that predates the charge bars using powder bushings.But there are really only 2 different sets. MEC sure did get confusing on this one, because the part numbers for the pre-82 600 jr die set and the 83-85 set are the same (8335XX). Burnt Powder. Wipe the dirt off and oil the parts that move with the exception of the charge bar and the hinge where the top folds back. They do not need any lubrication.
