I too experienced this issue (2021 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe) with the center console USB port. It appears to be a manufacturer’s problem baked into the newer models. I think this video may help you.

I have had my 4xe for close to a year and absolutely love it! One annoying issue though is the center console USB does not work with CarPlay. When my phone is plugged in, it will disconnect within 10 seconds. It charges but other than that it's useless. In order to use CarPlay, I have to plug into the dash USB port.
