So I just figured it was turned off. In the owners manual it tells how to check whether it is on or or by looking at the head unit display when putting the car in reverse. There it shows RAB on and the sound on. Is this normal to see RAB OFF when first starting the car as I can't see anything in the owners manual saying so?. Thanks, Ricky

Yep. The RAB harness and a few other things need to be disconnected for the hitch install. You can follow the relevant portion of the instructions to see where it's located so you can plug things back in. I'd also email the service center's service manager and let him know. Here's the instructions.
